People who
have
a sense
of
agency
regarding
global issues
care about
future generations
and so act
to
preserve the
environmental
integrity
of
the
planet.
They
exercise
agency
with
critical
awareness
of
the
fact
that
other
people
might
have
a different
vision
of
what
humanity
needs,
and they
are open to
reflecting
on
and changing
their
vision
as they
learn
about
those
different
perspectives.
The capacity
to
take
action
is
seen
as the
culmination
of
the
knowledge,
skills
and attitudes
acquired.
People who
have
knowledge
of
global and intercultural issues, who
are able
to
understand
the
perspectives
of
others
and who
have
interest
in other
cultures should
also
be able
to
translate
such
positive attributes
into
actions
that
benefit
their
local communities
and the
world
in which
they
live
(Milfont
and Sibley,
2012).
